I met Leigha last spring at the Babies in Bloom Baby Fair. I was holding a contest for a free birthing session and yup, you guessed it. Leigha won!
When I met with Leigha to discuss her session I found out she was scheduled for a c-section. I was a bit nervous as I’d never shot a c-section birth before and knowing I wouldn’t be let into the OR I wasn’t quite sure how documenting the arrival of her little one would go. I think it turned out wonderfully. I may not have been able to capture the birth but I was able to capture the sweet moments of Everleigh meeting her older sisters, grandmas and friends for the first time.
I returned a week later to meet up with Leigha’s family at home to take some newborn and family photos. Please watch the slideshow below.
