I take photojournalistic style photos documenting the:
- labour: the build up to your baby’s arrival, the location, the emotions, the birth journey complete with all the details
- delivery: the first moments you and/or your partner see your baby, hold your baby
- new family: those first precious hours with your child, baby weighing, bonding time, meeting other siblings and family
- newborn: your hours old infant as you all get aquainted
I’m capturing your birth story, documenting the day you can never recreate.
I’ve been on both sides of the camera when it comes to birth photography, so I understand my role to document quietly and unobtrusively. Don’t leave it up to your husband or other family member, to capture those irreplaceable moments of birth. You don’t want to be left with blurry snapshots and nothing to document the incredible journey from labour to delivery: What did you look like as you saw your newborn for the first time? How did your baby look in the instant he/she was born? Who was in the room? Who smiled? Who cried?
